Kabul Model United Nations was founded in 2016 by Afghan youth to promote diplomacy through learning-by-doing approach. 2016-2021

In 2020, we held the conference virtually - due to COVID-19 global pandemic - among ~100 delegates.

In two committees, our delegates discussed the Afghan peace process, and increasing the youth & women leadership in the peace processes.

We, at the Kabul Model United Nations, had immense pleasure to serve youth Afghans, both men and women, throughout our activities in the past five years.

Kabul MUN stops it’s activities, and takes this opportunity to THANK ANYONE who contributed positively.

In 2019, we almost reached our goals set years back - with over 300 delegates from 30 provinces of Afghanistan.

The delegates debated on the Afghan peace process, SDGs, racism, educational system, and promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas.

The speeches revolved around:
- The Question of Afghan Peace Process;
- Increasing Youth Leadership and Participation in Society Amid COVID 19.

The Executive Board members; Parth Gaikwad & Zainab Alizada led the UNSC, and Arzou Lashkari & Muzamel Kabuli led the UNFPA committees.

Kabul Model United Nations 2020 was inaugurated virtually on December 31, 2020 through an official ceremony with the presence of Afghan government officials, international community, representative of youth, and young delegates from across Afghanistan and the region. 1/4
