Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei commented on the Mecca Agreement, saying that Tehran does not see the pact involving Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as a threat to Iran.

He noted that Iran shares strong religious, historical and cultural ties with all three countries and emphasized the longstanding friendship between Türkiye and Pakistan as neighboring Muslim nations.

Baghaei described the agreement as an important development that could reflect changing perceptions and dynamics in the region.
