Often times I think students dread reading because it’s forced, and they wish they could be playing. I think this is a great way to incorporate learn and play!!
In a training today a teacher mentioned “flashlight Friday.” I was instantly curious...What is this? How does it work? On Friday, kids build a fort, grab a flashlight & read to a stuffed animal! So simple but sounds SO much more fun than reading on their own! #reading 💛📚⛺️

This past google classroom assignment was SO inspiring! Excited to be a teacher and start creating things for my students! #byuh305#edu305#googleclassroom#inspired
This is such a wonderful resource. Learning the ways that students learn, and the best way to engage them is such an important aspect of teaching. #byuh305
I have to agree! I also love the idea but for a different reason. I was one of those students who hated asking questions in front of the whole class and so I would just leave it be and attempt to figure it out on my own. I think this would also relieve some of that pressure.
@techy_fran I like those ideas particularly the sticky notes board. I think it is a dimple way to reach what students learned during the lesson, questions they may have if they didn’t not have time to ask during class period. I think this way helps students strive to focus more in class
I think this is really important. Sometimes I think teachers get in the groove of simply putting their information out to learn, and not taking the time to listen to their students. With online learning especially, I bet this is a difficult concept to put in place.
Often times I think people believe you’re either born to teach or you’re not. However, I think it’s important to realize it’s something you work at every day! Great article!
