The hardest liberation is the liberation of people from dictatorship and the absence of a permanent constitution. We gained our independence 15 years ago, but we have not yet achieved democratic independence. We all believe that South Sudan will achieve a democratic future, whether in 20 years or even more.
Kenya gained her independence in 1963 and adopted her permanent Constitution in 2010. Everything is a process. Let us not rush to achieve everything within a short period. Instead, let us first fight poverty and illiteracy, and everything else will gradually fall into place.
The day we learn that not every problem is supposed to be solved through war will be the day everything begins to improve in South Sudan. These challenges must be addressed through education, dialogue, and peaceful democratic processes.
