@Nestteam1 have now completed 10 kangaroo cuddle transfers. All babies have remained very settled and all mothers have absolutely loved the experience. Here is a photo of our tenth transfer, very content baby post cooling therapy asleep on her sleeping mother 💕🦘
6. Every piece of positive feedback we have received from families and professionals provides more and more evidence to develop the project further. The @Nestteam1 are happy to collaborate with any transport teams who would like to explore this concept further. 🦘❤️
@Nestteam1 have now successfully completed their third #kangoofix transfer. The parents have all loved their experiences and the babies have all remained very settled. We have trained lots of the team and are receiving great feedback.A 🧵on why this project is proving successful
5. The system is simple to use and can be washed in the washing machine between patients. We have developed a standard operating procedure, including emergency release and resuscitation procedures. There is also a SIM for the team to complete prior to use on a transfer.
If you have any quality improvement ideas within your neonatal teams I highly recommend applying for one of these scholarships! The @NNAUK1 have been so supportive throughout my project and it has certainly improved patient and family care. Get your applications in quickly!
