@Amplifon is a disaster - I truly regret having purchased the hearing aid from them.

The response - sorry - this is the way it is …nothing else can be done. So - not possible to move the file ( whatever it is) from Mysore to bangalore, not give a temporary replacement - so she has to manage without hearing for 2 weeks after paying about Rs.80,000

But because the purchase was done in Mysore, the hearing aid can only be shipped to Mysore and we shall have to get it from there - so another 2-3 days.

How would the 80 year old manage without a hearing aid for about 2 weeks?

We went to a local @Amplifon outlet in Bangalore to see what can be done. Here was the response:

It will take minimum 10 days to get the hearing aid fixed. They will have to ship it to Mumbai.

We purchased a high end hearing aid from @Amplifon for my mom - this was done through an outlet in Mysore. Subsequently, unfortunately owing to a medical condition she had to be moved to a re-hab facility in Bangalore. As luck would have it, one hearing aid stopped working.

Incidentally Mumbai considered the busiest single runway airport (higher than Gatwick) does 46 movements an hr. Much less than Gatwick which went up to 58. I found that passage fascinating too - arriving at the right sequence of takeoff and landing to optimise movements per hr!

Javier Milei just passed the most sensible law in world history - known as Articulo 209.

From now on, governmental institutions can no longer use the word "free" to promote any state service or function in municipal provinces or on a national level.

Milei considers the use of the word “free” a lie and feels citizens shouldn’t be lied to since the services always paid by someone, typically tax dollars.

If this were implemented in America, the Democrat Party would literally not be able to campaign anymore.

I think this is not accurate. In bangalore, we have two wheelers cruising on the footpath, water tankers on the wrong side of the road, buses stopping wherever. I don't think we have any drivers at all. The vehicles go wherever they want
