@Philly_Craft Fair, I usually go more for 6-8% haze, but this is pretty great. Jumping through the hoops to snag some before it sells out in 1-4 minutes is… less great. Hopefully they’ll continue to emulate Troon by finding a place to have their stuff consistently accessible on tap somewhere
Finally secured some Threat Beer Company wares. Super local, just down the street from me, but the hype has been so strong that it’s taken a while to snag some. Hate to validate the hype, but this is a pretty great 9.1% NEIPA, all tropical fruit and papaya.
Unreasonably annoyed by the lack of obvious vintage on the cans of Samichlaus. It does have L/100332 stamped on the bottom, which I (over)think means “best by Oct 3, 2032” and that this is thus a 2022 can?
@mciocco It’s been brought to my attention that Kaedrin’s Beer Acquisition Department has failed to procure the required Halloween Fantôme. We apologise for the fault. Those responsible have been sacked. Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretti nasti...
The Six Weeks of Halloween officially commences tonight! Let’s. Go. 🎃
The living and the dead dance together.
Now’s the time. Now’s the place. Now’s the weather.
Finally, another Go beer, New School Sour - Blueberry & Strawberry - Kettle sours are not my favorite, but they tend to work well in NA form. The fruit combo here isn’t the greatest, but it works well enough. Again, Untitled Art makes a pretty great version of this sort of thing
Semiannual Non-Alcoholic Beer Roundup 🧵 - First up: Notch Brewing - they have both a Pils and an IPA. Both are decent, but not noteworthy. The Pils is better than the IPA though, which makes a bit of sense.
Moar from Go - Street Cred After Hours. Good NA stout, the vanilla really adds a nice punch to this one, though it does have a bit of a strange aftertaste. I like it, though it doesn’t really compete with my favorite Untitled Art NA stouts (which are still my go-to NA beer)
Got to stop in at The Seed: A Living Beer Project last night, most enjoyable! The First Root: Citra/Moutere pale ale was excellent (come to think of it, everything I had was great)
Recent beer highlights from the camera reel: Had a blast at Human Robot’s lager-focused fest Log Jammin’ V. Plus, bonus stop at Monk’s Cafe afterwards for mussels & Loons…
