The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) 2 Infantry Division today conducted a 30-kilometre route march through Mbarara City, led by the Division Commander, Major General Paul Muhanguzi.
The exercise, which started at the Division Headquarters, brought together officers and militants in a show of discipline, teamwork, and physical endurance.
Maj Gen Muhanguzi underscored the importance of physical fitness in sustaining operational readiness.
“The purpose of the route march is to check troop and combat readiness. We regularly conduct such exercises as part of our military planning to ensure that all personnel remain fit and prepared,” he said.
He added that the march promotes teamwork, unity of purpose, and cohesion among military formations, values that are vital in both peace and wartime operations.
Route marches are a long-standing UPDF tradition designed to enhance physical fitness, reinforce discipline, and strengthen coordination across units.
The exercise serves as a practical test of endurance, helping soldiers build resilience and synchronisation in field operations.

Jesus was not a christian.
God is also not a christian.
Christianity started as a grass roots movement in Roman Judea but was hijacked by Roman Emperors as a political tool for controlling the masses.
Paul, a roman who wrote most of the books of the new testament actually never met Jesus. He was not even one of the 12 disciples.
None of the 12 actually wrote any book?
No single book in the whole Roman bible was written by anyone who had actually seen and met Jesus? The Gospels were only attributed to the apostles but were written 360 years after Jesus lived on earth from word of mouth accounts and what was traditionally agreed upon at the time. This is why all the four gospels disagree on who saw Jesus first after resurrection, where the stone was, where he appeared after resurrection and what his last words were among other contradictions (If they were all watching the man speak at the same time on the cross, how could they have heard different things?)
Early Europeans learnt from Rome and adopted christianity for control, changing the colour of Christ and his mother to white so they could sell white supremacy. After colonialism ended, they abandoned the religion and are now focussing on economic growth while we spend working hours in prayer fellowships, fasting, night prayers and donate our life savings to Men of God while our politicians build churches for us to pray for blessings instead of actually blessing us with schools and hospitals.
Africa now has the largest number of christians worldwide, is it by chance that the most religious continent is also the poorest continent?🤔
How come the guys who brought us this wonderful religion have abandoned it? Was their aim to teach us religion or was it just a tool they used to control us?🤔
Jesus didn’t bring religion, religion is just politics, it is all about money and control.

UPDF Troops of Battle Group Forty Five (BGXLV) have been urged to maintain discipline and professionalism as they prepare for their upcoming peacekeeping mission in Somalia.
Brigadier General Fred Mwesigye, acting Commander 1 Infantry Division, made the remarks during the closing of the two-week pre-mission ideology course at the International Peace Support Operations Training Centre (IPSO-TC) in Nakaseke District. He stressed that discipline is the foundation for success in military operations.
“There is no shortcut to success. Maintain discipline at all times,” Brig. Gen. Mwesigye advised. He added that loyalty, respect, and good health are essential qualities of a disciplined soldier. He also encouraged trainees to practice financial literacy and save for personal development.
The Commandant of IPSO-TC, Colonel Moses Nabaasa, congratulated the trainees on completing the course, commending their commitment, dedication, and adherence to discipline throughout the training.
Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Lieutenant Colonel Morris Kyatooko Twongeirwe, second-in-command of Battle Group Forty Five, pledged that the soldiers would uphold the values learned and maintain the good image of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
The closing ceremony was attended by the Chief Instructor and senior and junior officers of IPSO-TC.
President Yoweri Museveni ~ Congratulate the new officers on their achievement and also thank the CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his commanders for the excellent work they have done in training the officers .
This afternoon in Otuke, I was delighted to reconnect with my neighbors. We have faced challenges together, fighting against Kony and cattle rustlers who had disrupted the peace in our area. Now, it is our time to pursue lonyo (wealth), and no one will deter us from achieving this goal.
Happy birthday my love ( @KabibiFlorence ). Thank you for being the fulcrum of our family's support system. May the almighty God continue to bless you with many more years of happy life and laughter . ❤️
I don't know what some people want us to do. It's as if they never want to see people happy together. They are criticising H.E @KagutaMuseveni's meeting with leaders of other parties (at Kololo, under IPOD) as a sign of "owning his opponents" in the upcoming elections. To them, the other leaders are sellouts and the elections just for show. But when such unity of purpose is witnessed in other countries, it's praised. We should appreciate our own methods and promote politics of dialogue and cooperation for the common good of the people. That's what IPOD is about. Politics of defiance, sabotage and violence will not take us anywhere. FK
You're the best patriot Uganda has witnessed so far who doesn't fear political noise but minds most of the beauty of our country. May God bless you and add you wisdom to transform our country.
