J’adresse mes félicitations à la Syrie pour l’étape décisive franchie hier dans le processus d’intégration pacifique des Forces démocratiques syriennes (FDS) au sein de l’État syrien. Je salue l’engagement du Président al-Charaa et l’esprit de responsabilité de Mazloum Abdi et des FDS à cet égard.

Depuis le début de la transition, la France a joué un rôle actif pour accompagner cette démarche et elle sera attentive à sa mise en œuvre.

La France continuera à appuyer la transition syrienne avec pour seules boussoles l’unité et la souveraineté de la Syrie, dans le respect de toutes ses composantes et du monopole de l’État sur les armes. En Syrie comme partout ailleurs, c’est ainsi que peut se construire le chemin vers une paix et une stabilité durables.

•⁠ ⁠Several right wing pro-Israel mounthpieces, who many people ASSUME are close to Trump, went on the attack trying to bring down Tom, falsely claiming Trump wants him fired

Their reason?

He wasn't pro-Israel enough

•⁠ ⁠What did Trump do? He promoted Tom with more territory oversight and directly appointed him as Presidential Special Envoy this year

•⁠ ⁠Days ago, I interviewed Tom again about the unprovoked Israeli strike on Syria (a warning to Turkey). Tom spoke the truth about exactly what happened

•⁠ ⁠Again, he wasn't pro-Israel enough, so ultra right wing pro-Israel pundits and their influencer gangs went on the attack

Trump is surrounded by people who pull him in different directions, on behalf of other countries and special interest groups.

Trump's support for Ambassador Tom Barrack is a testament to his determination to back people based on meritocracy, with an America First mindset.

@IsraelMFA This man was an #Assad militiaman & enforcer in #Homs. In addition to committing several killings & kidnappings, he sexually assaulted a 12yr-old girl.

It was the girl's uncle who committed this attack & he's now been captured.
