Today, the Kenya Editors Guild is hosting a Partners’ Engagement Meeting to appreciate the invaluable support and collaboration received from partners during the #AnnualEditorsConvention.
The engagement seeks to strengthen existing relationships, explore new opportunities for collaboration, and foster sustainable partnerships that advance media professionalism, press freedom, and impactful journalism in Kenya while creating shared value for all partners involved.
A delegation from the Kenya Editors Guild held a consultative meeting today with the Commission on Administrative Justice where they were received by the commission's Chairperson Charles Dulo and the Vice Chair, Dorothy Kimengech.
The meeting explored opportunities for strategic collaboration on access to information, journalist capacity building, civic education, and the promotion of transparency and accountability ahead of key national processes, including elections.
Both institutions expressed their commitment to strengthening partnerships that advance informed public discourse and support democratic governance.

Speakers at a pre–World Press Freedom Day panel at the University of Nairobi said the future of media depends not only on telling stories, but on telling them truthfully, responsibly, and ethically.
The forum, hosted by Chargé d’Affaires Susan Burns from the U.S. Embassy, convened students from several universities, journalists from multiple media houses, and the University of Nairobi leadership for a candid exchange on the challenges facing modern journalism.
They said sustaining editorial independence while meeting commercial demands remains one of the defining tests for today’s newsrooms.

Discussions highlighted the Summit’s ambition to strengthen investment and deliver concrete solutions to shared challenges; from reforming the international financial architecture to advancing the energy transition ⚡, sustainable agriculture 🌱, artificial intelligence and digital innovation 💻, the blue economy 🌊, green industrialization 🏭 and health 🩺.
