What is going on with UEFN lately. Almost 2 minutes to simply duplicate and delete a texture. This issue seems to be much worse if the project has/is using custom entity prefabs. Has anyone else noticed similar results? #UEFN

@FrostbyteMaps I am having the same issue so I placed a round settings device with override on social joining, MMS and JIP with enabled, enabled and spawn immediately (same as island settings) and now I am able to join in progress games in my island

@iiiSAndman I think I have mentally walled off all my channel trauma. Having to literally cut features out of a game because you ran out of channels, then they upped the amount which was awesome for a while but still I forgot it was ever a thing until I just read this lol

Before you point at UEFN for today's announcement, understand that most growth in the games industry during 2025 came from two places: China and UGC.

Roblox has dominated and UEFN is the next largest competitor. Fortnite started its race 12 years late, has technical debt from its BR cycle, has delayed mobile optimization due to litigation (which also benefited many developers), and several other challenges to work through. But it's also a bet on the only growth area in games right now.

If you're not a game dev, I don't blame you for being surprised. Our industry has been in a difficult place since 2023. Almost every game studio I can think of has done layoffs, some multiple rounds (Riot Games as a recent example, who doesn't have a "UEFN" by the way). Even the studio I started my career at, which I left in 2019 and was 450 people, is now less than 40 people. That is the games industry today.

What we need right now is to be supportive of those impacted and to focus on doing our part to help grow Fortnite into a larger platform that can sustain games from many different genres, including BR and UEFN. That creates more jobs, new opportunities, and an overall better outcome for all.

@WarforgeXP Talk about a description! Thanks for sharing the prompt! The hate is always the same about laziness or lack of creativity. You had a specific idea in mind and described it perfectly so how is that any different than a DM to an artist with the same info or less creative?

@CCruzFight Oh yeah I agree with the marketing aspect. I can’t really see a lot of fn players flocking to it but the game dev community overall is pretty prominent from my few days of experience

75% scam “creators” who have never made anything unique or had a unique idea and worst of all predatory behaviors towards other creators

@PixelandPoly_FN Thank you! Everyone is okay thankfully. Power company is saying the estimated restoration time is 10/5 😱 3 days so far with 80+ degree heat has been brutal. We also lost literally all our refrigerator and freezer food been living on chips and snack cakes

@Jakkofn @OzyFNC I feel this! My son is 14 and dude is a monster at literally every game we play and is currently carrying me to unreal in ranked. I might get 3-4 kills to his 18-20 every game it’s nuts how fast kids reaction time is these days lol

@beauty_heart7 The only way you would be able to tell is if you take your cpu cooler off and take a pic of the serial number on the side to compare it. Just one last thing have you tried the bios update for your motherboard? def make sure you do that before sending it or they wont replace it

PSA to all my UEFN homies out there. If you have an 13 or 14th Gen Intel processor and have been having underwhelming performance or frequent UEFN or Fortnite crashes check your motherboard manufacturers website asap for a bios update. More info in comments

@beauty_heart7 That’s sucks! If you built your PC then intel customer support can send you just the new processor. This time around I opted to have a custom build made to save me time and sadly they don’t mail processors which is why I had to send my whole pc in which was a huge pain
