@ziegler_md My mom is Korean and I was born in Korea. When we moved to the US other kids made fun of my accent so I stopped speaking Korean. My mom never learned English well. I can understand, not speak. Our conversations are half English and half Korean 😂

Starting Vascular Surgery Fellowship (@UoMVascSurgery) next week, and I’ve been thinking of Gen Surg residency. Here are some “rules” I learned as a med stud (@originalEJessie remember?) that I’ve updated. These are mostly for in the OR; #MedTwitter wiser surgeons please add!

5. Look good while doing it. I don’t mean a cute scrub cap (though I love those), but keep calm. When s**t hits the fan, you’re the leader in the room. If you stay calm everyone will stay calm. Same if you freak out.
