Despite the early criticism about the USA hosting the World Cup, the tournament has been going really well so far. Many people questioned whether the stadiums would be full, whether American fans could create a true football atmosphere, and whether the high ticket prices would hurt attendance. However, the packed stadiums and passionate crowds have proven many of those concerns wrong. What has been especially impressive is that even so-called smaller matches, involving teams that are not traditional football powerhouses, have attracted incredible crowds and generated a fantastic atmosphere. So far, the World Cup in the USA has delivered excitement, strong fan engagement, and a vibrant football culture that has exceeded many expectations.

I still remember when the World Cup was awarded to the United States. Many people criticized the decision, questioning how a country that calls football “soccer” could possibly fill stadiums. Some even predicted that the stands would be half empty.
Fast forward to today, and most stadiums are sold out well before the tournament has even begun. Once again, the passion of football fans has proven the doubters wrong.🇺🇸

A grown man cried over a game. That alone shows how much the World Cup means to millions of people around the world.
That’s why it was disappointing to see Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly downplay the importance of the World Cup. For many players, fans, and entire nations, lifting the World Cup is the pinnacle of football. Just ask the people of Portugal how proud they would be if their nation won it one day.
Club trophies are special, but the World Cup is different. it unites a country, creates lifelong memories, and can move even the strongest men to tears. That’s why it remains the most cherished prize in football. ⚽🏆🥺
