Just finished revisiting Gaston Leroux's 'The Phantom of the Opera'. It's such a strange and beguiling novel. Leroux's intense description of the Palais Garnier is Piranesi-esque. The atmosphere is potent. Leroux's Phantom is a very compelling and twisted character.
For the last 46 years, it has been my privilege to work alongside countless talented artists and crews to create these characters, stories, and films for you all.
I'm looking forward to seeing you at the movies! DIGGER. Only in theaters this October.
The positives are too numerous to count! The film is excellently paced, with a thoroughly engaging narrative. Kiryu is a very compelling take on Mechagodzilla. Michiru Oshima's score is divine! Also Yumiko Shaku, whose Akane Yashiro is one of the Godzilla series' best characters!
