I'm right wing, used to deer hunt, and I'm a meat eater. With all that said, my level of disgust towards elephant hunters is remarkably high. I understand conservationism, and I understand the reasons for its legality. That's not what repulses me. I'm simply repulsed by the idea of a wealthy man in the United States flying to Africa, spending a fortune and then taking a big bore engraved double rifle oftentimes worth tens of thousands of dollars and shooting an elephant.

I'm disgusted that someone would find it fun to kill an animal like that. As I said, I'm fully aware of the reasons it's allowed, but let's not pretend like some guy in Texas is sitting at home and decided he needed tp fly to Africa and bag an elephant to save them.

The desire to kill large, intelligent creatures for fun is demented. Traveling across the globe makes it even worse. Be mad, idc.
