It’s been 5 years since Maine’s vagrant Great Black Hawk died. Today it’s memorialized with a statue in Deering Oaks Park, as far as I know the only such memorial for a wayward bird.
We got the HEPATIC TANAGER in Stockton Springs, ME! Bird is being surprisingly cooperative and the neighbors are welcoming (despite parking right in front of us 😂)
