I keep asking myself what exactly Uhuru Kenyatta is doing inside this opposition space, because every time he appears around opposition figures, Ruto gets another easy chance to drag everyone back to the Jubilee years, where the two governed together for nearly ten years and public debt had already climbed to about KSh8.59 trillion by June 2022.

Then there is the other problem, because Ruto and his allies keep saying Uhuru is financing opposition activities, Uhuru denies it, opposition leaders deny it, yet the accusation still gives Ruto exactly the story he wants, which is that the same old establishment has simply regrouped under a new banner.

So what is Uhuru really bringing here, Kikuyu votes, money, old networks, political cover, influence over candidates, or some quiet hand in deciding who is acceptable inside the opposition and who is not.

That question matters because the more visible Uhuru becomes, the easier it is for Ruto to tell voters that nothing has really changed, and that the people presenting themselves as the alternative are still tied to the same political class that ran government with him for years.

If the opposition wants to look like a clean break from Ruto, then Uhuru’s role has to be explained properly, because you cannot keep carrying a former president who governed with Ruto, presided over the years when debt rose heavily, and now keeps being named as the hidden financier behind the people trying to remove him.

I am happy and quite surprised to see how Edwin sifuna a small man from my paternal village who was considered insignificant just the other day,is now making legacy Politicians who claimed to posses the carte blanche of controlling how politics is done in this country,Panic. Gachagua is crying sifuna doesnt want to engage him. Former kasongo mule,JB muturi is crying,Kasongo himself is panicking,Everyday he is lamenting. Kalonzo woke up very early today to sponsor fake polls of how statistics want sifuna to deputize him,and so on. The only man I havent seen crying is Maraga,and we all know why. All these men want a piece of sifunas cake, that they neither helped prepare nor did they think it would bake

They want sifuna to operate with their permission and ‘blessing’ ,blackmailing him with tantrums like “You cant work alone”. These are threats emanating not from Confidence but from Confusion and Disorientation. Sifuna ameharibu hesabu.

Since june 24th there has been a vaccum that politicians have been trying to fill. A vaccum that not even Raila could fill. Gachagua tried and failed terribly,Maraga also tried but still wasnt quite so,

And Since Railas death which I must admit was very timely and convenient,Sifuna appears to have what it takes to fill this void. He has the peoples hearts now.

Unaona the way Kasongo roams around the country calling the opposition mafala? That’s exactly how he sees Kenyans too. That’s why he can make false promises every time, billions can get lost under his regime with little accountability, abductions still happen, and the same projects can be relaunched more than twice.
