@Datsun200BCoupe@Rainmaker1973 Had some chase after me for a bit when coming back to the carpark on the way down from the granite tors walk. Never experienced anything like it before.
@murdo_fraser As a Scot who now lives in Australia I am appalled by this from you Murdo. People are dead. Our country is in mourning and the literal first thing out of your mouth is a criticism of the SNP before you even express condolences! Shame on you.
@jesseisahack@mf_blonde @williamoftonga Also, genuine question, do Carrick and Pocock even really know each other? Like do they have a relationship beyond existing in the same ecosystem? Feels odd to categorise her as just 'one of his supporters'. And tbh kinda feel like that diminishes her in her own right.
@jesseisahack@mf_blonde @williamoftonga There seems to be some key things ignored here. 1. Pocock actively didn't endorse anyone in the ACT election. 2. The campaigns he implicity supported (like Emerson's) were IFC. 3. IFC and Fiona Carrick ran against each other in Murrumbidgee and had significant disagreements.
@WWFerguson2@Maggie_Perry6 It's because when the 2 candidates who'll finish in the 2CP is obvious, the AEC can begin to do preferences much sooner. The problem in Calwell is it's not clear who will be vs ALP in the 2CP, so they've had to wait until every vote arrived to do what's called a full distribution
@Lisa9Sophia@KosSamaras If you think people living in outer suburbs working from home weren't bothered by the prospect of being forced to return to 5x days of long distance commuting then you're away with it
@kevinbonham It's also a bit weird with the way it represents party views on issues. For instance, telling respondents Labor disagrees with becoming a Republic based on a quote that a referendum is not a current priority, which isn't really an accurate reflection of their policy position
@nado_674@KosSamaras Don't forget 2019 when the bookies had Shorten the favourite, so much so that some paid out early to punters who had backed the ALP. No more infallible than pollsters.
