@TeamYouTube Although, the video's impressions (reach) have dropped significantly and plateaued.
Let's see if the algo decides to put it back up there for new audiences to watch.
Update: The claim has been lifted, and our video is now live worldwide.
We're not sure yet whether YouTube denied the claimant's claim or if they (claimant) retracted it themselves.
Sounds like @TeamYouTube does work behind the scenes. Kudos! ✨

@TeamYouTube This is a textbook example of "misuse of copyright takedown processes". Back to back copyright takedowns on different portions that are protected by 'fair use'. Can you guide us on how to pursue this further in order to defend our case?
@TeamYouTube We took down the original episode. Our team re-edited the claimed portions, and re-uploaded it yesterday.
Now, the claimant has blocked the video worldwide again, but for different portions this time—ones that weren't flagged before.
Does this ring a bell? @TeamYouTube
@TeamYouTube@TheCineDesi@TheCineDesi got their Sholay Reaction Video taken down on Feb 20, 2025. It's also protected by fair usage, and was live since 3 months.
@TeamYouTube@TheCineDesi Same for this channel (REACTION MOOD) https://t.co/H7Mgxj7C76
They also got their Sholay Reaction video taken on Feb 20, 2025. It's protected by fair usage, and was live since more than 7 months.
@TeamYouTube There's no response from them yet. Also, they've started mass targeting the reaction videos we mentioned in our defense (which were live for more than 3 and 7 months respectively before our dispute). This shows the broken copyright system we've to go through as creators.

@TeamYouTube We didn't expect typical preset replies on this thread. We've already tried contacting the claimant via email. (Oh, btw their email address that they've mentioned in the claim doesn't even exist. We found another email on their website and requested for a dialogue there.

@TeamYouTube@team121Creators We disputed the claim, explaining how our content transforms the original and educates on editing techniques under Fair Use. The claimant immediately rejected it and filed for a takedown.
