25 year old Namibian Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Information, @EmmaTheofelus has just won the 2022 UN Population Award.
She is the youngest-ever winner of the Award since its inception in 1983.
Theofelus has been recognized for her work advocating for women’s empowerment and adolescent sexual and reproductive health in Namibia, where she has pionnered legislation for feminine hygiene products to be identified as a tax-free commodity.
