@NickHintonn Ah so what you're saying is that Sodom gravitationally attracted those sulfur meteors from outer space to land on them with their sin, right? This mystical mumbo jumbo is not the word of God. God orders sinners be punished, that they SHOULD suffer for their sins, and this is good
@AntoniusOhii@HabemusMalleum Where was it said that deporting foreigners = neglecting the poor and needy?
Was it not God who condemned Sodom, the same God who ordered the complete elimination of the Amalekites down the last man, woman, and child? We should be so blessed that we can deport without killing.
@NickHintonn God has thrown sulfur meteors at people. Sure, He allows other agents to exact vengeance against sinners, but He also directly inflicts punishment against them according to His discretion.
“Despite this, the Holy Apostle Paul, and along with him our catechism, teaches that Adam's sin is imputed to us by God, and we are responsible for this sin as if we ourselves had committed the original sin.”
Saint Seraphim Sobolev
@Postulliok You're just saying the same thing over and over again with no substance. I have only sought to push Orthodoxy. If you think I'm doing anything else, address that instead of trying to psychoanalyze me.
@Postulliok If I use the same language as them, why do you assume I believe something different to them? I've posted some saint writings in full before, so that I'm not being selective and out of context, but you say I'm straying from them.
@Postulliok Are you seriously just reposting that guy's summary because you agree with him? That's really embarrassing, honestly. You couldn't even be bothered to read the thing he's quoting even though it says the exact opposite of what he says.
@Postulliok Btw the paragraphs you posted here plainly refute your point. The last paragraph, quoting decree 16, says that babes are saved *after* being “delivered from it by the Divine laver.”
The divine laver is baptism. I highly doubt you read the Decrees of this Confession at all.
