Both political sides are guilty of selective critical thinking. It seems like so few people are actually interested in truth. Everyone says they are, but no one examines anything with enough rigor or approaches anything with enough humility to come anywhere close to it.

It literally feels like no thinking happens. The amount of posts I have seen framed like common sense arguments that contain absolutely no common sense is astounding. Why do people eat this stuff up? What’s so appealing about it?

@annvandersteel @kneis816 I’m being earnest here… in what sense can someone be intellectually honest in the idea that disagreement with any single statement here = socialism? In what sense is that broad oversimplification helpful in any sense if we all know that it isn’t based in any sort of fact?
