@ATTHelp I submitted two incident reports to your fraud department and both times they did nothing to help and said they “couldn’t rule the situation as fraud.”

They switched my debit card out, but we found out the criminal was using MY @Apple PAY. They made the transactions on an IPhone they successfully transferred my Phone eSim information to by hacking my @ATT account. They used my debit card I had attached to my Apple Pay.

For full transparency, @Chase did refund the $500 “as a courtesy” but still didn’t see it as fraud. There are great individuals at chase that have tried to help, but the claim’s department has been a joke to deal with. The potential theft via digital wallets is terrifying @Apple

If you have read this far, thank you for the time. Ultimately I’m just looking for any and all help in this situation. I have done everything @Chase have asked and nothing has worked. I’ve played by their rules for way too long.

I wake up everyday trying to think of a new angle of evidence I can present to the @Chase claims department to get back money that is rightfully mine. I’ve had to freeze my credit and I’m most likely going to have to get a new SSN by the end of all this.

A statement I issued with the Fort Worth police saying I did not authorize anyone in NY to use my information. Not to mention the ongoing auto theft case and documentation associated with that. @Chase

I have provided every bit of documentation I can access to try and fight this. Including, but not limited to, receipts documenting the esim transfer, documentation with both phone’s serials, a cop working the case attempting to reach out to @Chase on my behalf.

am still fighting the @chase claims department on this, MONTHS later. I have branches of chase advocating for me, including the Roanoke location we were physically at during the time of this theft. The chase executive office is even advocating on my behalf.

A couple weeks later while Michelle and I were on a little weekend getaway to San Antonio and we notice $3480 pulled back out of our account. Confused, we call @Chase and get transferred to their claims department. They ruled the transaction “not fraud because it used Face ID”.

We changed all of our account info and @Chase issued a credit back into our account for both the $3480 and $500 that was stolen while they “investigate the fraud”. We thought we were in the clear because it was CLEARLY fraud, right? Apparently not…

We saw it happen in our @Chase bank account in real time. We soon arrived at the Chase bank in Roanoke TX to try and remedy the situation in person.

So if you have a debit card on your apple or @Android pay, remove it. The thief went on to go into an Apple Store, West 14th Street in NYC and spend $3480 using their Face ID they set up on their phone that was now attached to my @Apple Pay.

When a bank switches out your debit card it AUTOMATICALLY updates in your @Apple Pay in real time. So the criminal continued to use it despite @Chase thinking they had stopped them.

That was thankfully stopped, but shortly after $500 was successfully withdrawn by the thief. We quickly started driving towards the nearest chase instead of att. We called @Chase right away to put a block on our account to stop whatever was happening.

Because of the escalating situation Michelle and I got in my car to drive to my closest @ATT store to try and get it figured out by talking in person. As we were driving, I get emails from @Chase saying an attempted withdrawal for $3000 took place in New York.

which I quickly responded saying “No”.
But I wasn’t fast enough, my phone lost service and my text didn’t go through. I knew something was very wrong, I quickly called both @Asurion and @ATT to try to get on top of the situation.

On March 4 I get an email stating that an insurance claim to replace my @Apple IPhone had been initiated, which I thought was odd because I had not done anything with my phone insurance. Seconds later I get a text requesting my permission to transfer my IPhone’s eSim card

The New York police along side the FBI have been working on the auto theft case and both trucks were seized. That’s not the focus of my issues with Chase, but it provides context for the situation.
