This ad by @Unilever - Comfort is completely unacceptable.
Using a fish market as something “disgusting” to promote your product is not creative — it’s disrespectful. Fish is food. Millions of people depend on it for their livelihood. Fishermen, vendors, and market workers work hard every single day, and this ad reduces their environment to something shameful.
People who eat fish don’t see it as “dirty” or “unbearable.” They go to these markets proudly and buy fresh food for their families. What exactly are you trying to say here?
This is not just marketing — this is humiliation.
You’ve insulted:
Fishermen who risk their lives at sea
Market workers who earn with dignity
And millions of people who consume fish as a staple food
If this is your idea of branding, it shows a complete lack of respect for real people and real work.
Do better. Apologize. And stop portraying honest livelihoods as something inferior.

Delhi Erupts in Protest Against Transgender Amendment Bill 2026
📍 Jantar Mantar, New Delhi
Trans and LGBTQIA+ communities along with supporters took to Jantar Mantar demanding the Centre roll back the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026... passed in both Houses of Parliament.
The BJP government’s Transgender Persons Amendment Bill is a brazen attack on the Constitutional rights and identity of transgender people.
This regressive bill:
- strips transgender people of their ability to self identify, violating a Supreme Court judgement
- wipes out the diverse cultural identities of communities across India
- forces trans people to undergo dehumanizing examinations by a medical board
- introduces criminal penalties and surveillance without safeguards
The BJP government hasn’t consulted the trans community and brought a bill which stigmatises rather than protects them.
The Constitution protects every Indian’s right to life, liberty, identity, and dignity. This BJP government is violating our Constitution and destroying India’s rich history of honouring transgender communities in pursuit of its narrow ideas.
The Congress Party unequivocally opposes this Bill.

The 2026 Bill doesn't amend a law. It strips 700,000+ trans Indians of legal existence with a parliamentary vote. No debate. No community consultation. No shame.
Withdraw this human rights violation of a bill
Under the 2019 Act: a self-affidavit + Aadhaar got you an identity certificate. Under the 2026 Bill: medical procedure → medical board → DM → "additional experts" → maybe a certificate. That's not protection. That's a gauntlet.

If our existence makes you uncomfortable, that discomfort is yours to examine. Not for us to be treated like criminals because we exist.
We have already done the hard work of understanding ourselves.
It’s high time you did too.

The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill 2026 doesn't protect anyone. It erases them. Self-identification — upheld by the Supreme Court in NALSA 2014 — is now conditional on medical boards and district magistrates.
