Skeletal waste from #thermoforming production is fed into our extrusion machine to be re-made into plastic packaging. We produce pure 100% PCW/PIW #rPET sheet using a shortened process that requires no pelletized flake prior to the #extrusion process.

2021 was a busy time for us here at Kalex, producing over 4,000 tonne of #rPET material in our first year. We processed 3,200 tonne of post-consumer bottle flake into food grade materials, saving 6,800 tonne of #CO2 in the production of rPET compared to virgin #PET material.

We are helping with the transition to more sustainable and fully recyclable packaging materials. The R-PET we manufacture can contain up to 100% post-consumer waste, whilst maintaining the same excellent transparency and food shelf life.
