Before I moved into my compound, I heard that the landlord preferred yahoo boys because they could pay rent without stress.

But when I came to see the place, he told me he does not want a yahoo boy. I said I was not one. He asked about my job, how I got my car, and everything. I got curious and asked why he was so concerned.

He said the last yahoo boy in his compound did him dirty.

When the boy moved in, he paid two years rent in advance. The landlord was happy. But when the two years elapsed and it was time to renew, the boy kept saying "My client will send money soon." The landlord believed him and was patient.

Seven months passed. Nothing.

The boy then came to the landlord, opened his wallet and showed him $50,000 on his screen. He said he needed 200k cash to settle the police who were investigating his account. The landlord willingly gave him the money.

He traveled shortly after. When he came back, the house was empty.
