I’ve been so sad since hearing yesterday of @HyerKathy’s passing. I knew her while at @USFAgingStudies but appreciated even more after. I valued her guidance on career decisions & it was special to receive random emails congratulating me on things I’d not mentioned to her.
In the weeks before she died, she was giving me feedback on my course ideas AND advice on how to be a good wife and mother. I consider myself beyond lucky to have first called her my PhD advisor, then a colleague, and forever, a very dear friend. She will be so missed. (2/2)
I so rarely tweet, but this tweet from @Davidcgrabowski prompted me to reset my password so that I could contribute some thoughts about @hyerKathy. She was the epitome of a terrific mentor... Always supporting her mentees in their professional and personal lives. (1/2)
