Wow, I had been wondering why something about my feed on this site seemed weird for a long time now and why I kept getting random tweets from days ago shoved at the top.
I never even realized the "following" tab had a secondary option for "popular" and "recent".
@seraselkie "Grieving your past self" is a good way to put it. Especially after the MLP community faded, haven't really found a good replacement. Feels quite dull & lonely. It sucks, yet somehow also feels exhausting & pointless to make new friends or even try to keep up with all old ones.
@seraselkie Ah yes, same. Up to 2015 this site, for example, used to be fun and you could create friend circles. Slowly became just politics & ads. Old friends never chat anymore, or just vanished. Lost contact with so many online friends. Feels pointless so kinda half-vanished myself too.
Anyway, I think the new Potter will be lucky if it ever gets finished. Maybe cancelled after a few seasons. If it finishes, bet it'll have lost most of its viewers by then and gained everybody's dislike, if recent trends are to be trusted. Will be another Witcher situation lol
I feel the new Harry Potter will be yet another case of marketing it as more "book accurate" to catch the eye of the book fans, then it'll really be the total opposite.
Resulting in one more time the movie haters realize how good they actually had it with the original films.
Like, how many times has this happened now? So many Star Wars prequel haters learned to appreciate those films more after the sequel trilogy.
So many Jackson LOTR haters realized how much worse those films could've been after Rings of Power, and Jackson's respect for the books.
You know that whole thing that's a meme by now, where lame people see a vtuber in a video clip & can't help but compulsively comment "a fat 50-year-old guy btw" or whatever.
Feel like whenever people see a man on a video they should start commenting "a cute loli anime girl btw".
