Here’s where the choice of words went wrong.
1.That was a reporter. When you question a Black woman’s professionalism and integrity, you’re throwing her credibility under the bus—whether you intend to or not.
2.Using the word “awesome” was unnecessary. At that point, it turns into schooling her on how she should conduct herself at a press conference.

This is the shit we do to each other.

We’re expected to walk like them, talk like them, and live up to their standards of professionalism. But when we’re authentic, real, and different, suddenly we’re questioned—by them and by us.

Dec 14, 2014 Shawniece Wilmore graduated from Jackson State. 2 days later she died from Renal Medullary carcinoma, a rare form of kidney cancer caused by the sickle cell trait.

Go get ya blood tested for the sickle cell trait and ya kidneys screened for RMC.
