🚨🎙️| Julian Álvarez: “This is not the time to talk about it, but I also can’t hide, I’m trying to be an honest person. I have spoken with the people at Atlético Madrid and I think that what is best for everyone is a transfer. I want to fulfill my dream.” #fcblive 💣👀
Couldn’t agree a contract with us in discussions over nearly 3 years, polished the Real Madrid one off in 3 weeks, first one to call the club out if we’ve fucked up, but he never wanted to stay. The only thing I can call the club out here is not buying a CB last year and either not playing him or reducing his playing time if he didn’t want to be sold.
Fuck him.
Spoken like somebody that only watches Portugal once a year…..
Portugal’s top goal scorer in the nations league and we won over Spain last year but he holds us back…
Portugal’s top goal score in World Cup qualifiers yet he’s holding us back…
You gotta stop watching ESPN to get your news, bro
That and if Gordan has been brought in as a starter by Flick, I don't want to see Raphinha as the main 10 or on the right side, he doesn't do much there...
I can't wrap my head around Barça fans who still want to cash in on Raphinha and send him to Al Hilal.
We've spent the entire season seeing how much we miss him whenever he's unavailable. The drop in intensity, pressing, work rate, and overall performance is obvious every single time. He's one of the three most important players in Flick's system.
And then you see people saying, "Sell him now because we won't get a better offer in the future."
Who cares?
Respectfully we're not Dortmund. Our goal isn't to sell our best players at their peak value and celebrate the fee. Our goal is to compete for the biggest trophies, and to do that you keep players like Raphinha, not push them out the door because someone is waving a big cheque.
Whether you like him or not, Raphinha is untouchable right now.
All promising La Masia players should skip Barça Atlètic rn.... why should someone good enough for La Liga be wasting their time in a extremely poor 4th division (can understand third division and upwards)
Van Virgili left last year after Hansi Flick left him out of the preseason squad. He refused to be part of Barça Atlètic, which would have helped them qualify for a higher division.
What message would Deco and Hansi Flick be sending to La Masia players if they bring a player like that back to the first team, after he was part of the team that got his club relegated?
Barça still has 50% of his rights — meaning co-ownership with Mallorca. I don't believe the news that Barça wants to bring him back for €7 million after selling him for €3.5 million last year. It just doesn't make sense.
The more likely scenario is that they're discussing his future with another club.
