In my 20s, I'm experiencing the emersion of reading that most of ya'll probably knew as kids, for the first time.
I hope I can build on this thread in the coming years. I'll update with brief thoughts on every new book, audiobook or manga I read/listen to
@FilipJWrites To add on that, Moirraine had many books to have impact. The scope of the respective moms is different and so Moirraine has an advantage somewhat - we had a JOURNEY with her, and even books where, in her absence, her impact got to breathe
The Sword of Kaigen is one of thebbest standalones I have ever read. The duel scene is up there with Kaldin's a 100 diacordant rythms. That said, Moiraine Aes Sedai is the best mother in fiction: "raising" 4 kids and one combative younger sister is no small feet!!
@car_a_carn42 You know what??? A soon as I finish my RoW, WaT, Warbreaker, and Elantris rereads, I will read Fitz' trilogy before I head to "Scadarial" and the mists

@car_a_carn42 You know what, I might just try it because you tweet of Fitz so much and so highly!
Luffy, Kal (though he might end up #1 by SA 10, but then again OP isn't over either), and Rand are my goats. I am now really curious about Fitz
@RankMaster227 All this to say, I was happy about Oda's subversion.
And as for Summers, one of my fave/ best OP villains. He has given me a range of emotions and panels -
-Aura & fear against Robin
-A lot of laughs
-Cruelty & hate when he had the kids
-Being pathetic (against Luffy)
RANGE!!!
@RankMaster227 Well, different likes then. I've enjoyed having Zoro be juxtaposed with the more entertaining villian- and just that- unlike the usual "cool". I have found he does stuff that endears me too him because of his responses/ personality. His "coolness' is hype but not endearing to me

..speak of how great The Hero of Age finale is but I remember being so confused! It took me reading the coppermind to understand she had ascended. The mentions of "Nalathis, Scadarial, Tal Dain" help when you eventually read the books based on those worlds. I could go on

I become increasingly convinced and adament that The Stormlight Archive (All 5 books) is the best entry point to the Cosmere. Afterwards you can go to Mistborn or the rest.
By Wind and Truth, all major cosmere-wide concepts have been shown/explain, especially with magic

By WaT, you have an idea of the following, especially because of the legwork Rythm of War does;
Hoid, Worldhoppers, other worlds, shards, splinters, ascension, investiture and Connection (very nb this), Realmatic theory, perpendicularities
Peope speak of how great ...
