We are thrilled to share that we've acquired "Self-Emergent" by the brilliant Emily Xie
We first experienced this work while visiting the @ToledoMuseum during the exhibition "Infinite Images: The Art of Algorithms" last year. We've finally installed it and are looking forward to sharing this thoughtful, fun and interactive work with many visitors to come!
Thank you @emilyxxie
Proud to share that we've acquired SEAL (2026) by @robertalice_21 — a set of 6 works composed specifically for our collection, each encoding one of the six one-stroke radicals that form the foundation of the entire Chinese language.
SEAL draws a 1,000-year-old connection: in ancient Chinese painting, collectors stamped their red seal directly onto the face of the work — making ownership part of the artwork itself. Robert Alice argues this practice foreshadowed blockchain provenance by over a millennium.
Our six seals move from the most primitive stroke to the most complex — One (⼀) → Line (⼁) → Dot (⼂) → Slash (⼃) → Second (⼙) → Hook (⼅). Together, they encode the latent possibility of every character in the Chinese language.
Each seal is permanently woven into an infinite algorithmic scroll, growing as more collectors participate. Every collector becomes a block in the artwork's chain. You can explore the full scroll at https://t.co/x5a3GQhXbr
Introducing Classical Revival by @Phenomenalabs
Coming April 16 to Art Blocks Studio
Classical Revival is a generative algorithm where classical visual language is transformed into a living computational system.
Inspired by the idea that harmony, proportion and ornament can exist inside code, the work reimagines historical aesthetics as a dynamic digital organism. Each piece continuously evolves, unfolding through time and interaction.
More details coming soon.
Nearly 5 years ago, 0xDEAFBEEF minted the first work in a series of generative artworks known as Volume 1. During this time he minted:
128 from the Synth Poems series,
64 from Glitchbox,
8 from Angular,
8 from Transmission,
8 from Entropy,
and 7 from the Advection series…
4/
We love the Advection series because of how it reflects his devotion to pure mathematics and an attempt to communicate the beauty of an algorithm in an aesthetic way. In this series, he questions whether translation between the languages of math and visual art is even possible. What do you think?
2/ After years of slowly and thoughtfully building our collection, we’ve now completed a full set with the acquisition of hyper Chromie Squiggle #8572.
To us, Chromie Squiggles represent the foundation of generative art on the blockchain: a shared visual language, a proving ground for experimentation, and a reminder that sometimes the simplest forms carry the most lasting ideas.

1/ It’s been an exciting month for Chromie Squiggles!
More works by some of the most influential artists in the space have been acquired by @MuseumModernArt.
Huge congratulations to @ArtOnBlockchain, and to everyone who donated to help make this milestone possible.

Hard to put into words how humbled and proud I am to share that eight Chromie Squiggles have been collected by the MoMA.
What started as a proof of concept for @artblocks_io and the blockchain's ability to generate entropy evolved into something much bigger than I could have ever dreamed of. Squiggles embody my soul as my signature as an artist and a technologist, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you that has ever explored, enjoyed, connected with and even criticized my work as you have all played a role in shaping who I am as an artist.
I appreciate every single one of the (as of the time of this post) 2,861 Squiggle collectors that continue to participate on this journey with me.
Thank you @Sam12_23 and @NiftyFiftyETH and @squiggleDAO for your support, encouragement, coordination, and overall dedication to my work.
Thank you @kukulabanze and @Noahbolanowski and @1OF1_art for so thoughtfully contextualizing my work and putting it forward for consideration.
Thank you to the wonderful collectors noted above that so generously donated their Squiggles.
Thank you @MuseumModernArt for your curiosity and appreciation not just towards the Chromie Squiggle but across the digital medium, over the decades, as a whole. Shoutout to @StuartComer, Michelle Kuo and Christophe Cherix for their vision and support and @mpierpont3 for actively participating in our community on behalf of MoMA over the years. It's a sincere honor to be among the 28,000+ artists in your collection.
Massive congratulations to @matthall2000 and @pents90 as eight @cryptopunks have also been collected by MoMA. I wouldn't be here without your inspiration and contributions and it's a huge honor to be recognized in this moment with you. So happy that Mara and I could play a role in contributing a punk alongside Larva Labs, @CozomoMedici, @judithESSS, @ntmoney, @kukulabanze and @Rhyd0n and happy for the (at the time of this post) 3,791 strong community of fellow Punk collectors plus @nodefnd and @NaughtalieStone as amazing stewards.
Seriously so much to be proud of and excited for.
Grateful for my wife Mara and my kiddos, friends, coworkers, and entire family for being so supportive over the ups and downs of the last few years.
Have so many feelings and so much to say (see my late night ramblings below) but at the end of the day this is a moment for every one of us that's here in this moment and future and I'm just happy to be sharing this experience with all of you.
