SOON TO BE IMELDA UPDATE 9:45 AM SUNDAY 9.28.2025 The weather model world has been very kind to us over the past 36 hours. With Imelda slowing down and the low pressure over the Southeast weakening much faster than expected, powerful Hurricane Humberto will now get close enough to pull Imelda out to sea this week. How confident am I? VERY! Here’s why: we finally have a well-defined circulation and a solid grasp of the steering flow, which has led to overwhelming model consensus that Imelda will NOT pivot into the Carolinas. That said, I’ll still be watching it closely until we see that track play out. Impacts here will be minor. I’ll break them down in a post by Noon, then go LIVE on Facebook at 3 p.m. I can hear the collective sigh of relief across the Carolinas.
