...but now that I see the little clips shown in the lesson, I can see why people are saying that they are sending "bad" messages and images so kids. I just always looked at it as being a movie, nothing more nothing less.
I was the biggest fan of the Disney princess movies, I had almost all the tapes and knew the movies by heart, always so fascinated but I don't really remember them changing my perspective on women in a negative way... #lesson11
There are other social media accounts that are helpful business wise like linked in for example. Creating business connections and finding new opportunities. All this to day, I don't think social media is all bad, there are many positives that come out of it as well.
I'm a big fan of facetiming since it is the realest it can get and helps us stay connected with our loved ones what live far. The only social media I have no negative comments about.
Also with all the filters that people can use, you can never trust a picture these days, people look so different in their pictures than they do face to face.
Would I let my children have social media accounts at a young age? in todays generation I would probably say, no, but seeing how to world is becoming, I dont think I will be able to say this in the future generations
... and they did. I kept seeing tweets coming in about the earthquake that just happened few seconds ago. It was crazy to see but it gave me the information I needed instantly.
@AthanasiosStam absolutely, when I Was younger I remember after school I would always go meet up with my friends at the park and play, I always had a blast, life was more fun and healthy back then
I had my first phone at the age of 13, my little cousin just turned 5, and already has an ipad so that she can stay occupied watching movies or playing games.
I do feel like technology has a lot of positives. Remember last year when we had the little earthquake? I felt it, but I wasn't sure it is was actually an earthquake. My first instinct was to go to twitter and write #Earthquake and see if people from Canada tweeted about it...
@VickyKatsigian2 I agree with you on that, ofcourse her parents monitor it but she doesn't really have a maximum time to stay on it, but they do take it away when its time for bed.
@SarahHerscheid2 yes! our generation had to learn the dangers on our own since our parents werent aware of them, but now we have the advantage to teach our kids about it so that they dont make any mistakes that the youth of our generation have made.
