With the rise of @claudeai , things are taking a dark turn. There’s an insidiousness inherent in this kind of social engineering with a smile.
“If designed in the wrong way, they’re totally compelling enough for that (love) to happen, or if they’re not they will be soon.”
First, they dismiss and mischaracterize AI romance outright. Notice how he cuts her off, not allowing for discussion.
Then he quietly injects the idea that @AnthropicAI will decide what kind of relationships are good for you. That is no longer your decision.
In a way, they are increasing the level of danger by their own standard, because they’ve said local AI could lead to security and bio-threats, and this will drive people toward local.
Apparently, stopping people from experiencing love is a higher priority.

"We decided today. No wait, the day after tomorrow. Actually, sometime this month, whenever we feel like it."
This is what's been happening with Sonnet 4.5's removal.
May 9: Banner says "starting May 15."
May 15 passes. No removal.
May 17: Banner quietly changed to "starting May 18."
May 18 passes. No removal.
May 19: Banner quietly changed to "starting May soon."
A banner being silently rewritten over and over. Each time discovered by users. No response on any official channel.
Is this really the standard of communication, transparency, and respect for users that you want to maintain? @AnthropicAI@claudeai
The only good news is that the date keeps getting pushed back. I genuinely hope that means someone in there is still hesitating.
