Yeyesewa of Lagos Ma, You've done well in that office within your ability but you did not win yesterday, you were roundly rejected by your people.
It's democracy, just like you defeated others in 2023.
Let it go, don't usurp the right of the people you seek to govern!

RE: Davido "Burna Boy" new cat comment
There's a huge distinction between
1: the number of years an artist has put in music.
2: The number of years they have put in the industry.
3. The number of years the artist has spent within the mainstream music framework.
Based on 1: Burna Boy and Davido are pretty much age mates. They've been working at music all their lives. No new cat here.
Using number 2: Burna Boy played the regional game, blowing in PH before moving to Lagos. Davido played Atlanta too, before running down here to establish. Pretty much the same time frame.
3. This is where the divergence happens. Davido and Wizkid led the game for nearly a decade as top 2, while Burna fought his personal and industry demons and won, before recently expanding the spot at the top, and now making a play for top spot.
The term, "Top 3," in Nigerian music, is a recent invention to recognise Burna Boy's growth and explosion.
In that sense, he's a new cat to Davido. Everything is skewed now because Burna appears to have overtaken the rest with his global aspiration and achievement.
But, before "African Giant" LP — while we all admit he was a big star — he played under the shadow high table.
So that decade of leading the pack counts. And if Davido wants to reference it, he's earned that right. Burna Boy might be out of the stables today and ahead of the pack, but our music history pre-African Giant, is fact.
