PHOTOS: The construction of a bridge for the people of Gayawa and Jaba is currently ongoing. The bridge is being built to improve transportation and enhance the daily lives of residents in the area.

The project is part of the ongoing road construction connecting Jaba and Gayawa. As the existing bridge will be demolished, His Excellency, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf, initiated the construction of a new one to ensure the smooth movement of people and vehicles and to prevent any inconvenience to the community during the project.

Today, I inspected the ongoing rehabilitation works at the Goron Dutse Reservoir, the main and most strategic water distribution facility serving Kano Metropolis.

The reservoir consists of three major storage tanks with capacities of 7.3 million litres, 11.2 million litres, and 22.5 million litres, bringing its total capacity to 40.5 million litres. Sadly, the smaller tanks of 7.3 and 11.2 million litres built in 1930 were abandoned for over 30 years, and nearly all critical infrastructure at the reservoir has been vandalized.

I am pleased to note that rehabilitation efforts are progressing steadily. Pipe replacement works are ongoing on the 7.3 million and 11.2 million litre tanks, while desilting activities are currently underway on the 22.5 million litre tank.

This intervention, approved by His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, is part of our broader efforts to restore water supply across Kano State, alongside ongoing works at the Tamburawa and Challawa Water Treatment Plants.

Wannan ci gaba ya biyo bayan alkawarin da mai girma Gwamnan Jihar Kano, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf ya yi ga al’ummar yankin, na tabbatar da ganin an kammala muhimman ayyukan raya ƙasa da ke shafar rayuwar jama’a kai tsaye.

A wajen taron kaddamarwar, masu unguwannin da aikin ya shafa sun halarta, inda suka nuna jin daɗi da fatan ganin aikin ya kammalu cikin nasara.

Wannan cigaba na nuna ƙudiri da jajircewar gwamnati wajen inganta ababen more rayuwa a Jihar Kano Kano State da ma ƙasa baki ɗaya.

Haka kuma, ana miƙa godiya ta musamman ga Shugaban Ƙasa, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bisa goyon baya da sahalewar da ta taimaka wajen tabbatar da dawowar wannan muhimmin aiki.

Allah Ya sa a fara lafiya, a kammala lafiya, ya kuma sanya albarka a cikin aikin.
