Sec. Lorenz has been a consensus-builder and strong advocate for transportation. We wish her success in the private sector, and look forward to working with the administration to make sure transportation remains a priority through this transition. #ksleg https://t.co/y1FKTiKpkt
It is with heavy heart that we say goodbye to Corky Beachner, co-founder of Beachner Construction in SE KS. Corky was a leader and as a longtime active member and past president of KCA, he was instrumental in the passage of three state highway plans. Rest In Peace, dear friend!
Great to have @SecJulieLorenz in #Wichita yesterday to speak to the @ChamberWichita SCK Transportation Coalition about @KDOTHQ, the IKE program, the 2021 #ksleg Session, and federal infrastructure discussions!

Texting and driving can result in injuries or death. Here's a simple reminder: Eyes Up, Phones Down. It's up to all of us to make sure we stay safe in work zones. It's a team effort. We all want to make it home to our families.
National Work Zone Awareness Week starts Monday. There will be stories next week from highway workers and contractor employees on our blog.

Numbers tell a story: 1 year ago, on Friday, April 3, 2020, @GovLauraKelly signed into law the Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program. This 10-year, $9.9 B program was built by Kansans FOR Kansans. Today we celebrate with a video from @SecJulieLorenz https://t.co/io7DHcfeNm
When it comes to courage and tenacity, we can’t help but think of Kansas’ shining star, Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Amelia was from Atchison and she believed that there is more to life than being a passenger. #WomensHistoryMonth
