Today, as we celebrated World Autism Awareness Day, I received Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke at Lagos House, Marina.
Kanyeyachukwu, a young advocate, completed an endurance ride of 687 kilometres from Enugu to Lagos. His journey speaks to courage, resilience, and what is possible. He has shown that every child has real potential that deserves support and recognition.
In honour of this, I pledged a total of N200 million to support autism-focused organisations under the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs and the Kanyeyachukwu Foundation.
This is a step toward stronger advocacy and better support for caregivers and individuals on the autism spectrum.
