Two truths can coexist.
I have said before that one group controlling a large share of India’s airports and ports is not healthy for the country’s development.
The group is also spreading fast into other critical areas such as power, renewables, cement, copper and mining.
That needs to change.
Equally, Elon Musk has spent the last few days pressing India to clear Starlink.
Starlink is not just a technology, and Musk is not merely an entrepreneur.
In a national crisis, Starlink could be used in ways that threaten India’s security.
Musk is now one of the most influential private actors in America, not just the richest person or a leading tech entrepreneur.
He should not be treated as a neutral commercial partner. Elites in the US establishment do not want India to reach the kind of self sufficiency China has achieved.
In a major crisis, Musk and his companies could align with US policy in ways hostile to Indian interests.
In the latest move, the US has suspended green card sponsorship filings by Indian IT companies, including TCS, Infosys and Wipro, along with several other firms.
I would not be surprised if India faces tariffs as high as 100% for continuing to import oil from Russia.
The relationship between the US and India is under very serious strain.
America is becoming more and more hostile towards India.
The coming times are going to be very tough.
It is true that oligarchy exists in India.
It is equally true that Elon Musk cannot be relied on in a crisis and could become hostile to India.
Oligarchy is the internal problem that needs to be addressed.
Starlink is the external threat that should not be allowed in India.
We need to be extremely wary of Elon Musk.
I don't know why people are so disconnected from reality. Saw a post saying Rs 40 crores must for retirement in India.
Do you know how big is Rs.40 crores?
In India, only 0.04% of households have it
In the richest country of the world, USA, only 4% of households have it
If you take the entire world consisting of both rich and poor countries, just 0.13% of households have it.
Even Rs 4 crores is difficult for 99% of the population.
Saying Rs.40 crores is required for retirement only demotivate people because they can never reach there. These kind of posts at best serve as irritants.
Some are complaining a lot even after excellent deals with European Union and USA. I won't blame them because if you single mindedly hate a party or government, very difficult to appreciate when something happens good for country.
There is the same issue in Tamil Nadu. Those who refuse to appreciate the progress and development of the state are ones who blindly hates the party which is ruling the state.
Low beta asset - Time in the market is more important than timing in the market
High beta asset - Timing in the market is more important than time in the market
These 2 sentences are worth putting into a blog video backed by data and evidences (done that yo get rid of all these marketing gimmics good for social media)
Got inspired to tweet from Sandeep Kulkarni bhai tweet

@cbe_sam Just Google how many data center jobs are created when one opens.Way lower than compared to investments. I think TN is very clear in what sort of investments it wants. One that creates more jobs

I want to dispel some myths.
Let us go back to 1980.
Many comment that Tamil Nadu was already a well developed state during independence to because of coastal advantage Tamil Nadu is doing well and so on.
When I commented yesterday, Tamil Nadu was as poor as any other Indian state during independence, many pointed out I was wrong.
Why go till independence? Let us visit 1980 when we were in absolute poverty, licence raj and so on.
Look at the attached image.
Tamil Nadu was poorer than many states including Punjab, Maharashtra, West Bengal and so on. Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh almost had a similar percapita.
Tamil Nadu has always been investing on human capital including providing free food, quality education, women empowerment and so on. Despite human capital, we could not progress because there was no economic opportunities. No jobs for people. It was licence raj and no investments were coming to India. The only option available to people were government jobs.
During the last 45 years, some states have grown well. Many haven't. No one would have grown but for PV Narasimha Rao liberalising the economy. I've stated this so many times. In my view, PV Narasimha Rao is the best Prime Minister India has produced till now.
Liberalisation gave Tamil Nadu many economic opportunities to pursue. It was ready with human capital, well educated women and social equality.
Look at how ahead say Maharashtra or Punjab than Tamil Nadu, 5 decades ago.
Now we've exceeded Maharashtra, Punjab and almost all large states in the country. Now we are number two and expected to be number one in GDP percapita among all large states by next year.
Neither we were rich before nor grew only because of ports. Our human capital was rusting due to lack of any economic opportunities till liberation.
When opportunities were made available, we were already ready to seize upon it.
But for PV Narasimha Rao and his able finance minister Dr Man Mohan Singh, India would have been worser than subsaharan Africa. They opened up opportunities for states like Tamil Nadu to grow.
As I said, we were on par with Uttar Pradesh 45 years ago. Governments in our state was able to use the opportunity provided by liberalisation and now we have almost 5 times percapita GDP of UP.
That's why I credit all Chief Ministers and parties which ruled Tamil Nadu. Say, what prevented UP from growing like us?
So like many people say, growth didn't happen automatically to Tamil Nadu. Even today the state works very hard to socially and economically develop, make population skilled and future ready, continously planning to develop Tamil Nadu despite disruptions like AI or tariffs.
As a kid, I used to think UPA lost because they were a bunch of corrupt politicians who did not care about the people. I was wrong.
They lost because they couldn't control mainstream media effectively.
This is very much political.
Rakshit Chaurasia from UP, who killed one woman, Hemali Purav Patel (40) & injured 7 others last night, tried to assert his Hindu identity only to get away from the scene.
He represents today's youth who have grown up watching Politicians garlanding Rapists, lynchers, murderers, Hatemongers Babas, Leaders getting unimaginable popularity by splitting hate. The more Hate means you are more Hindu.
Today's India is in a hopeless state of Injustice where criminals can achieve impunity largely by exaggerating their Hinduhood.
Even if drunk and intoxicated, people never lose their consciousness fully until not fall asleep.
He is a byproduct of Today's majoritarian state. A majoritarian state can't deliver any good to either the majority or the minority but disasters like Rakshit.
