Only poor people say money doesn’t buy happiness.

Why?

It’s a convenient excuse for them.

[ionicXBT @theionicXBT]

Throughout my teens I used to suffer from something called:

PENIAPHOBIA

(acr.) Constant fear of being poor or unsuccessful.

That’s what kept me up at night.

Success was the only option - only cure.

Nothing else.

I’ll be so real with you all,

Whenever you feel unsatisfied with your life,

Remember this.

Many people in this world are dreaming of living your life.

Whilst you are complaining about the lack of minerals in tap water,

A child in a village is drinking dirty & contaminated water just to survive.

That's life.

Enjoy yours.

If wealth was the only secret to happiness, then the rich would be dancing on the streets.

But only poor kids do that.

If power ensures security, then officials would walk unguarded.

But those who live simply, sleep soundly.

If beauty and fame brought ideal relationships, then celebrities would’ve had the best marriages.

Live simply, walk humbly and love genuinely.

All good will come back to you.

Here’s ionic’s simple rules for life:

- Compete but don't compare.

- Observe but don’t absorb.

- Connect but don’t attach.

- Desire but don’t chase.

- Want but don’t need.

- Feel but don’t dwell.

- Act but have faith.
