When the Hindi Film Industry drops a glimpse of #Ramayana, the people in internet starts dissecting frames to find a Janeu on Lord Raam, calling its absence a "cultural insult" - even when it's actually there if you look closely.

But #Varanasi ( which is from south indian film industry ) when drops a glimpse showing a massive, muscular Hanuman without a Janeu, no one questions it. Instead, it’s hailed as "peak cinema" and "visionary."

"It’s ironic how our 'religious sentiments' are often tied more to a film industry than the scriptures themselves.

In the Ramayana (and the Hanuman Chalisa), the Janeu (Sacred Thread) is a vital part of Lord Hanuman’s identity.
The verses clearly state:
'Kaandhe moonj janeu saaje' (The sacred thread of Munj grass adorns His shoulder)

This thread isn't just a ritualistic string; it signifies His Upanayana (initiation), His mastery over the four Vedas, and His unwavering path of Brahmacharya. He is often called the 'Chaturvedi' among the Vanaras. To depict Him without it is to ignore a fundamental aspect of His iconography found in almost every ancient temple and traditional painting.

The Truth: If we are going to be purists about our culture, let’s be consistent. If you didn't look for the Janeu in this shot, your problem wasn't with 'accuracy', it was with a particular industry just because you hate it and you are hypocritical.

Stop the selective outrage.

When Aditya Dhar released the teaser of his movie, nobody even cared. Many of these clowns were trolling it too.
