Founded in 2010, Kappella Kyrie Slavic Chamber Choir specializes in Slavic sacred music, and upholds the centuries-old musical traditions of the Eastern Church.

Our first rehearsal with guest choirs in preparation for our May 10, 2025 concert “Blending of Sounds” at the Winspear Centre! Kappella Kyrie and five other choirs will form a mass choir of ~150 singers for the world premiere of a cantata by Ukrainian composer Myroslav Volynsky!

Yurii Hryhorash from L’viv, Ukraine, who is a featured soloist on the CD, was able to join the choir from overseas. It was a superb evening of music-making and celebration. Kappella Kyrie are so grateful to all their patrons and supporters who helped us get here!
Kappella Kyrie capped off its 2023-2024 season with their long-anticipated CD release concert and reception. The concert featured highlights from the CD as well as various other works; most notably, the world premiere of local composer Diana Taylor’s "The Resurrection."

Kappella Kyrie sang at the Mazurka Music and Art Society concert on March 24 at the Anglican Parish of Christ Church. The choir sang four a cappella pieces, and joined forces with pianist Mikolaj Warszynski for Franz Liszt’s "Via Crucis," devoted to the 14 Stations of the Cross.
