If you have elementary age kids, I highly recommend @nhannahjones’ Born on the Water. Beautiful, necessary, positive story. My 9-year old enjoyed reading it and gave me an age-appropriate summary of it that understood the point of the 1619 Project better than all of its critics.

I haven’t read the DC Circuit decision, so it may be a proper admin law ruling (I genuinely don’t know), but I am appalled & mortified that anyone thinks shocking disabled children is a good idea. If there needs to be a legislative fix, so be it. But we need to #StopTheShock.

I'm sure a lot of people have seen this video by @MarkRober. On the surface, he seems to have good intentions.

Unfortunately the video is filled with so many harmful ableism stereotypes that need to be addressed.
