@mmeshep TA: I would say that I need to implement more interpersonal communication during online learning. I think that there have been a lot of good and fun ideas in here that I can pull from. #langchat

@mmeshep A5: I am currently doing a food unit so I had my students create a meal plan for the week with the food that they can find in their house. I also gave them the option to talk about an authentic dish from a Spanish speaking country via FlipGrid #langchat
@mmeshep A4: I have been using FlipGrid for students to share responses and talk with each other. I would love some more ideas on this! I think the interpersonal mode is hard when everything is online. Suggestions would be great! #langchat
A3 #langchat For interpretive mode, Edpuzzle was an old favorite that is def part of my ammo. Have recently gotten into "Actively Learn" for reading assignments and am really liking the interaction I can have with students while giving them feedback with this tool.
@mmeshep A2: We have been doing weekly zoom meetings. I have also kept up with my students via email, using the remind app, making flipgrids video for them, and posting in google classroom. I think the weekly meeting really help to see how everyone is. #langchat
@mmeshep A1: I think this distance learning is going great! I think the hardest part is not seeing student's reactions to things and knowing if they are understanding the content in the moment. I have a google classroom set up which has gone well. #langchat
@VTracy7 TA: I love the idea of making Youtube videos for students for instruction. I think that's really fun. I saw someone post something about using Tic Toc. I'd love to find a way for students to use that! My middle schoolers would really be into that. #langchat
@VTracy7 A5: Nothing more than normal. I've been staying positive, using my essential oils, and spending time with Jesus. God is good and I trust him at all times! #langchat
@VTracy7 A4: Do what you can. Keep it simple. Make a google classroom and maybe some Youtube videos for instruction. Have your students create FlipGrids to assess student's speaking of the language. I'd also say start sooner than later. We don't know how long this will last. #langchat
Yes, that pretty much sums it up! Glad there are places to get food, but the technology is another level. (especially with middle school students) I'm glad that the county is working on getting laptops to students. #langchat
@VTracy7 A2: I have been using the Remind app, emailing, and making parent phone calls to keep everyone up to date. I set up a google classroom and have some fun activities up like Senor Wooly, FlipGrids, EdPuzzle, DuoLingo, and Quizlet #langchat
@VTracy7 A1: I feel good! I'm a Spanish teacher from North Carolina. I decided to quarantine myself in Ohio with the fun half of my family. I've been learning lots of fun ways to teach online while spending time with people that I love. #langchat
