⛩️ We’re so proud of our crew who competed at the 2025 Nationals in San Diego!
These teams have put in serious work, and we couldn’t be more proud of how they represented the dojo. 💪
Here are the dojo "triplets" in action. ⛩️
⛩️ If you are afraid of sparring, you need to spar more. 👊
If you dont like your front kick, you need to kick more.🦵
If you arent confident in your kata, you need to perform it more. 👍
Usually the quickest way to fix problems, is to work on the thing youre avoiding.🤯⛩️
As we approach the holiday break its important to keep your karate "warm" and not let it cool over the break. 🥶
Our very own Jason Kraus has a unique perspective on how to approach karate training in a thoughtful manner. 🥋

⛩️ Every Kata tells a story.📚
But many also have some kind of theme.
Techniques that pop up again and again but in different forms. 🤔
Are there several grabbing and throwing techniques, over hooks, under hooks?
Explore the kata to find its message. 🥋 ⛩️
⛩️ Learn to load your body. 🤜
Each technique should be a release, never a push.
Technique should flow out of the body, not forced out through your muscles.🧠⛩️
⛩️ When you pull, dont use your arms. 🤔
This might sound contradictory, but you actually pull with everything BUT your arms.
Pull from the inside, your legs, the ground. 🦵
Thats true power.⚡⛩️
⛩️ Kumite is useful in many ways. 🥋
But the mental training is just as important as the physical.
Being able to stay calm under stress is always a useful skill. 🧠
Your goal should be: Engaged but relaxed. 👍 ⛩️
