My interview with @CBCNews on the resignation of Ian Moss from GymCan today.
This is window dressing and long overdue. It doesn’t replace the need for a judicial inquiry. If anything, it underscores the urgent need for one

Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. https://t.co/6RfakdeV3Z
Let's review what has been done to end human trafficking in Canada & what still needs to change. We need your help and support to grow the movement so we can demand even more lasting, significant changes.
“It defies belief that Trudeau would soft-peddle this story because China’s goal was to help elect his Liberal government, but there’s little else by way of an alternative explanation for this prime minister’s passive blindness to spy agency concerns...” https://t.co/J4tJRAVgO3
CIBC, a Canada Soccer sponsor for three months, is calling for transparency regarding the issues raised by the women’s national team about CS’s media and sponsor contract with the private company Canada Soccer Business, says CIBC exec VP Stephen Forbes.
Forbes’ statement:
Amazing people from across Canada are paying attention and are speaking up to ensure that abuse and maltreatment in sport ends. We need change. #CPC#SafeSport
Canada Soccer head physiotherapist Sarah Smith, who oversaw the federation's sports medicine department, has left the organization for a job in the NWSL.
Smith worked for Canada Soccer since 2013 and her departure was tied to the federation’s deep budget cuts, source tells me.
This story has stoked far more public interest and coverage in Quebec's French language media than in the rest of Canada.
Quebec's premier said this week he expects QMJHL Commissioner Gilles Corteau to appear before a govt committee to answer q's re hazing & abuse in his league.

Canada's bail system is broken. In my Q&A with the OPP Commissioner, I highlighted the existing problems and asked to share his views on what the government must do to stop violent repeat offenders from breaching bail orders and terrorizing our communities.
This is exactly the issue. Confidentiality is being used to shield accused perpetrators, even of the most heinous behaviour. Parents left in the dark. Possibility of this person coaching in other jurisdictions. How can confidentiality outweigh the safety of the most vulnerable?!
New: The Heritage Committee passed a motion today to invite Canada Soccer's Nick Bontis and Earl Cochrane to testify in early March about alleged unequal treatment of the WNT players, MP Peter Julian tells me.
Julian added subpoenas will be forthcoming if invitations declined.
I was proud to present to a petition demanding the Iranian regime and its most senior officials - including the IRGC - be immediately banned from entering Canada.
