Luckily I wasnโt stuck miles from home in the dark on my own with a ยฃ30 taxi bill. Itโs ok though, itโs being taken seriously by the depotโฆโฆ
@FirstBusUK luckily I checked myself and found there is a way of me getting home by getting two separate buses and a 30 minute journey taking me an hour and a half.
maternity pay is crap, childcare costs are crippling, childbirth is hellish and pre/post natal care is on its knees, it costs a million pounds to rent a 1 bed shed, butter is a fiver and itโs exhausting just being alive

I really don't understand "I could never ever vote Labour, I just CAN'T" without a second's thought or consideration. What was it about 1997-2010 that was so unbearable? Seeing a GP? Having a dentist? Minimum wage? A good welfare system? Schools being built? Kids being fed? What?
I find it fascinating that online Boomers love to tell Gen Z how much harder their lives were and how they didn't complain, then admit they were unhappy for a long time, had alcohol issues and now divorced/don't see the kids. So, I dunno, maybe it's OK to demand a nicer life?
This obsession with โworking hardโ and โhard working familiesโ is depressingly Victorian. We live in an age of machines that can do all that stuff for us. People should be having more diverse and more fulfilled lives, not grinding away until they die.
