This class and #Lesson11 made me think back about the use of media/technology by Goebbels in Nazi Germany. He used cinema, radio, and other mediums of technology push horrible ideals. The sad part is, they ended being very effective (1/2) #educ307

Thinking back about #lesson11, a lot of focus was put on the "Brainwashing" of children. It is funny, because Disney does a lot of this to adults as well through their different mediums. IMO, it is still incredibly effective on us too (1/2) #educ307

@JasmineKot It is actually insane to think about all the message/image repetition. It is constantly "BUY BUY BUY", but done cleverly so that you do not even notice it

@JasmineKot Yes. The only thing I would mention I disagree with a part of the documentary is the part about them "not knowing". I think those stereotypes are intentional and strategical for compelling story telling. It feeds our human nature and our "us vs them" nature.

@JasmineKot Although parents should always be as responsible as they can, it is impossible to keep an eye on them 24/7. In the documentary, they make a great point mentioning the reach of Disney. They are literally everywhere and impossible to avoid
