@hlvaron A5: It goes back to building their confidence and setting individual goals for the next step. My daughter’s teacher has been intentional about teaching the power of “YET”. It has been helpful for students to know they will reach their goals.
@hlvaron A4: By providing access to books and authentic writing opportunities in all centers. Creating products that are more about the process than having the final artifacts all look the same. Doing story retells!
@hlvaron A3: Students need to feel like readers no matter where they are in the process. Providing them opportunities for success will build confidence in the beginning so they can tackle more.
@hlvaron A2: so many ways to assess...going back to play based learning in an authentic environment and listening in on their conversations. How is their vocab developing? What about CAP when handling books in library? #AbydosInt
@hlvaron Modeling read alouds by making them exciting for young learners! And providing students with a variety of high quality books to encounter over and over again to build confidence as a reader.
